BONKERS CLUTTERBUCKS

I am currently an 'apprentice' on Project Object where we will meet weekly to develop a card model based around the templates designed by Bonkers Clutterbucks. We are sourcing images and inspiration from the archives at Blackpool Library and as you can see from the second image down I have focused on the Blackpool Tower Circus acts from before the war.
Working with Peter and Kate we gain an insight into the world of taking a product to market. So far we have heard from the buyers at Yorkshire Sculpture Park and learnt how Bonkers Clutterbucks started their business with modelling kits for children. Its just all so much fun!
For more information and where you can buy some of the lovely models seen above check out Bonkers Clutterbucks site here - http://bonkersclutterbucks.com/

SPRING LAKE

As you can already tell I am quite keen on going to the seashore. When I am on holiday that is no exception! This beach is situated in Spring Lake New Jersey and was about an hour away from where I was staying. The day trip was full of fine dining at a beautiful place called The Mill (http://themillnj.com/) walking on the beach and of course some shopping.
The town was very clean with mansions for homes, boutique shops and beautiful white sands. There weren't many people about but the odd few we came across seem to be relaxing. I imagine this town to include a few Desperate Housewife characters and retired millionaires - not bad!

COSTA COFFEE

When asking my 'fans' on Facebook what I should shoot today I was set the challenge of 'The Little Things'. This got me thinking about the little things in my life that mean something to me - it had to be coffee with friends.
Although I don't usually go to Costa Coffee it was the nearest shop when meeting my friend. This gave me the obvious colour theme for the images and although I wasn't able to get the shallow depth of field with my mini Nikon I still like the overall storyboard.
I think by photographing close up and long shots with movement you get a good sense of the atmosphere in the shop. If I had been a bit more adventurous I may have asked to photograph the coffee making process but like I say for the short time I was shooting the results turned out interesting.

BASEBALL

Having changed my blog slightly I am now trying new style blog posts. I have seen similar blogs display imagery in this way and it looks so much better than how I have been displaying. I think it has more of a storyboard feeling to it and makes the story come alive with the various close-up and long shots.
I have split the images into two sections but have applied the same levels and colour balance to each to make them similar in style. I would love to hear any feedback on this new style!
