Iain Farmer

Working in an office with three other people its inevitable I will get some shots of them while testing out my new equipment. Meet Iain Farmer, designer, brew maker and part-time model!
If your not into technical photography geekery then look away now, if so then feast your eyes on these photos taken with a 'Flash Bender'.
The top image was taken with an SB800 flash gun pointed at the ceiling bouncing the flash as much as I could (Unhappy Iain). The bottom image is taken with the Flash Bender which is a white piece of reflector that bends over the flash unit almost acting like we have moved the ceiling down a few feet. This reflects an even amount of light onto the subject (Happy Iain) and gives us a more illuminated image.
So if you are looking for some good lighting while shooting in either a dull space or don't want to use a flash direct onto the subject (which can sometimes be too harsh) then get yourself a Flash Bender!
