Who said I was Vain?

Self Portrait in a Dirt Mirror

As a photographer who hates having my photo taken I have found that whenever I find a shiny object I am drawn to take a self portrait. I don't mind having my photo taken when I am hidden behind my camera and I have found that talking to other photographers they feel the same way. I have found that its quite interesting to look back at the self portraits I have taken as I can see the journey I have taken over the busy year working for the Council.
This self portrait was taken in the old illumination shed while I was documenting the things that had been left behind after the move to the new building.

Let me know what you think of this photo.

  1. I rather like it myself, good shot.
Though I'd prefer a standing shot without your face to the viewfinder.

  2. Thanks for the comments. I have done a few self portraits but I am always hiding behind the view-finder. I agree Barry, I have seen some lovely self portraits with the face in the shot..maybe I will try this next time I do another.
Watch out for my next one, it was taken at a biker convention in July last year.
